We went yesterday to a Sandisk press event, where the brand showed us its new Sansa Fuze +. It looks like the “classic” Sansa Fuze, but with a new design – very Apple like – 4 to 16 gigs, a QVGA LCD 2,4″ screen with a 320 x 240 resolution, with a large support of formats : MP3, WMA, Secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC, Audible, Podcasts, MPEG-4, H.264, WMV, Flip Video, JPEG and BMP. A software is also available on Sandisk’s website to convert your TIFF, GIF and PNG pictures. This “PMP” is also featuring a FM Tuner, a micro-USB port, a micro SD port and has an autonomy of 24 h of audio and 5 h of video playing. Prices: 79, 89 and 119 €. The design is nice, and the interface intuitive and easy to use. But, honestly it is a nice MP3 player, but that’s it. The screen is way too small to be used as a multimedia player. Your phone will probably be more efficient at playing videos or pictures. The autonomy is nice though, and the size of that device too.

Sandisk is also selling a USB key for Xbox 360, with 8 or 16 gigs on board, it allows You to share or keep your gamertages, saved games, … Sandisk is selling it at 34,99€ (8 go) and 59,99€ (16 go). This is an interesting product for Xbox 360 owners…

We also saw a bunch of micro SD/SDXC cards, 32 and 64 gigs (only for SDXC cards) – huge capacities! -, with variable writing speeds. Sandisk is the world leader in that sector. Too bad We couldn’t try those super-rapid 64 go SD cards, but it was quite funny to see some of them into an iced camera!
