Thursday, LG was presenting its first WP7 phone: the Optimus 7. We had some very good impressions concerning the Optimus One, so We naturally were expecting a lot from this new phone. Well the hardware looks very very nice (aluminium and a lot of black), and I like the size of that device. Like the HTC Trophy, this phone is very nice because of its software: Windows Phone 7. And like the Optimus One, it is featuring every functionalities that a modern smartphone needs. Although, this phone is suppose to be the LG’s “flagship device” (that’s what the LG’s guy said), well even if that phone looks nice, it is very random. You know, there is nothing revolutionary, hardware wise, in that phone. Okay, I will admit that this is the case for the HTC’s WP7 devices too. The Samsung’s WP7 phones have, at least, super AMOLED screens. The Optimus 7 has a very standard screen, and has a terrible camera (even if LG worked on interesting functionalities, like the panorama pictures). Anyway, I don’t want to be too negative, overall this phone is really nice. I preferred the Trophy, mostly because of the HTC’s device screen. But I may see myself carrying the Optimus 7 everyday in my pocket.
