We will be testing, very soon, the last Madcatz’s creation, the Cyborg R.A.T 9. What is it? It is not a Robocop’s part, it is a gaming mouse with some pretty serious arguments: zero latency 2.4 Ghz wireless technology, way enough to use this wireless mouse for gaming, plus a 5 600 DPI laser sensor and 5 programmable buttons. Even better, this mouse is highly customizable: it has interchangeable pinkie grips and palm rests, you can adjust it to your grip and choose its weight. Also, this mouse is very pretty – it is mostly made of metal, and even the packaging looks great-, it has style, and it is using a very smart system of batteries: this is my main concern when i think about wireless mouses, i don’t want to think about recharging it and battery life – yeah i’m a lazy guy regarding those things. Well, Madcatz had the idea to add an extra battery and an external battery dock to recharge the dried battery. You can switch betweens batteries without having to open anything, batteries are easily accessible and interchangeable.
Overall, this mouse seems really nice, even if we’re not really into games, we want to use it anyway. It costs more than a 100 € (around 130€ I think), which is pretty decent for such an advanced device. We’ll test it and give you our feelings about it.
