I don’t know about you guys, but the Galaxy S2 is, to me, the most exiting phone of the year. Well, we don’t really know what this device’s specs will be, but rumors are getting crazy for months about this phone.

Rumors say that this device will get a dual core processor (orion or tegra 2), 1 GB of RAM, around 4 or 8 GB of ROM (+ a SD card slot), Super AMOLED Plus display, a 8 MP camera which will be able to record 1080p movies, a very thin body, probably Gorilla Glass and Android 2.3. Basically, rumors make of that phone a big big Iphone 5 (or Iphone 4 plus?) competitor – and a real “I eat LG and Motorola’s dual core devices for my breakfast”.

But today it is hard to say if those rumors are true or not. The Super AMOLED Plus displayis highly plausible (since the Vibrant 4G brought the “new screen” to customers during CES), I would even say that it is sure, the 8MP camera too – the original Galaxy S had already a mind blowing  camera. And android 2.3 will also almost surely be on that phone – if Samsung doesn’t want to fail. The big problem in that story is the RAM, not many phone are using 1 GB of RAM currently, that would be a great shift from Samsung, and moreover the Orion dual processor is rumored to be far from ready to be unveiled. So maybe the Galaxy S2, or whatever the name it gonna have, will have a Tegra 2 processor? It is also highly possible that this new phone will have a 1.2 Ghz simple core processor, just like the Vibrant. This is the big question. But honestly, if Samsung puts every other specs that have been rumored on that phone, except for the dual core processor, this phone would be great anyway.

We’re really hoping those rumors to be true (all of them!).

Stay tuned, We’ll follow that story.

Update:

That’s official: the Galaxy S2 will be unveiled at the MWC, Feb. 13th in Barcelona.
